Machine Didn’t Start After the Payment

If the machine hasn't started after you've paid, please follow these simple checks!

Step 1: Confirm the payment went through

If the screen shows “Start Not Allowed” or “Please Pay”, your payment may not have gone through correctly. The machine will only start after you receive a confirmation message such as "Thank you, proceed to machine number X."

Step 2: Are you using the correct machine?

After payment, the system directs you to a specific machine. Make sure you’re using the correct one.

Common situations:

In many locations, there are two separate Wash-ME units. Each unit has its  own card reader, so make sure you pay on the unit you intend to use..

Washing:

  • The  18kg machine usually costs €12 and is often Machine 2.
  • The 8kg machine normally costs €6 and is often Machine 3.
  • Ensure you're loading the machine you actually paid for.

Dryer: Some locations have two dryers. During payment, you must select which  dryer you want to use. If you didn’t choose, your payment probably are in the Machine 1.

  • Dryers are typically 1 and 2, or 1 and 4 — double-check the number before starting.

Step 3: Is the door locked properly?

Make sure the machine door is fully closed and locked. The cycle won’t start unless the door is securely shut.

Step 4: Is the Machine Overloaded?

If the machine is overloaded, it may refuse to start. Make sure your load is within the machine’s capacity.

Step 5: Did you start the cycle in time?

After completing your payment, you need to start the cycle within a limited time. Some machines allow up to 10 minutes to begin. If the cycle is not started within this time, the transaction may be automatically cancelled and the payment reverted to your account.
